Summer Schools

During breaks from curriculum time H-STEM has been and will continue to be involved in "summer school" projects. In the past these have included looking at the engineering involved in sport and competitions to design, build and compete Mini Sumo robots.

With a high emphasis on student enjoyment the summer schools give students a taster of the sheer size of the field of engineering and how engineering is involved in everything around us. The aim being that students finish the activities with a wider knowledge of the number of potential careers within engineering and raising aspirations towards further education and training.
