H-STEM to Develop Hethel Engineering Centre VLE for Schools
Working in partnership with Norfolk County Council, H-STEM will soon be creating a resource bank of projects, tutorials and information for schools to access remotely via a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
The VLE will use the familiar Fronter system which is available through Norfolk County Council for use by any Norfolk High School.
The system will open up a wide range of possibilities including remote access of materials, video conferencing, interactive tutorials, forums, remote classes and much more. This is one of a number of new initiatives to take our work beyond the centre and into the class room.
As a part of this launch initiative and to bring ourselves up to speed we will be organising a training session in the use of Fronter. Any teachers interested in the system are welcome to attend and we will be issuing places on a first come first served basis. The training will take place on Tuesday 23rd March from 15:00 to 17:00 at Hethersett High School. To register for a place on this training session please email me.
